Our story
Begmenov is the namesake menswear house of Berdy Begmenov, an entrepreneur from Turkmenistan who built his first label from nothing while he was still a student. With a modest first order sourced from the ateliers and cloth markets of Istanbul, he opened a single store and set out to prove one simple idea: that well-made menswear — honest quality, considered style and a fair price — should never be a privilege.
That first venture grew far beyond its origins. What began as one young man and one shop became a team of more than a hundred people and one of the best-selling menswear names on the region’s largest retail platforms, recognised well beyond Turkmenistan. The road was not smooth — the business had to be rebuilt more than once — and it is precisely that resilience, the habit of starting again and building better, that still defines how we work today.
The Begmenov standard
Established in 2013, Begmenov is the refinement of everything learned along that journey. We don’t chase trends or manufacture novelty for its own sake. Instead we build a considered wardrobe of essentials — tailoring and separates cut from premium cloth, finished by hand, and made to be worn, trusted and returned to for years.
Every piece is designed around three convictions the founder has held since day one: uncompromising quality, quiet and confident style, and clothing that respects the man who wears it. Restraint, to us, is the highest form of luxury.
